Join us for a special evening to explore the history, aromas and tastes of arrack following a special Curator’s Tour by Chief Curator, Sharmini Pereira.
Arrack is a local beverage steeped in history and tradition in Sri Lanka. ‘Athi Vishesha (Extra Special)’ by Pradeep Thalawatta currently on display at the museum as part of ‘Encounters’ makes reference to arrack as the basis of friendship and intimacy among the artist and his friends.
