Gallery Talk Bani Abidi

In this talk, Bani Abidi (b.1971) reflects on humour and the close observation of the mundane as methods for tracing how narratives of the nation are produced and circulated. The talk will unfold through the screening of selected works from across her longstanding moving image practice, followed by a discussion hosted by Senior Curator Sandev Handy.
‘The News’ (2001) by Bani Abidi is now on display in ‘Three Songs of Ceylon’.
‘Three Songs of Ceylon’ is on view until 11 February 2026. Admission Free.
