In this first Gallery Talk of ‘The Foreigners’, academic and linguist Dr. Kaushalya Perera discusses the everyday presence of language politics in urban contexts of Sri Lanka, ranging from road signage to public documents. She will engage in conversation with Pramodha Weerasekera, Assistant Curator Education and Public Programmes.

This Gallery Talk has been curated as part of the Public Programmes of the exhibition ‘The Foreigners’, on view until 22 October 2023.
